Charged Item Crafting
A charged item can take any form. It could be a crackling obsidian shard, a sapphire ring, or any other item the player wishes to be imbued with magical energy.
The player must have a reasonable source of the knowledge for the spell they are imbuing into the charged item, though they need not necessarily be able to prepare and cast that spell. Provided they have this reasonable source of knowledge, the player can spend time and money to enchant this item with a charge of a spell. The costs in arcane salts, sodas, and powders for the enchantment are detailed in the table below.
| Spell Level | Enchanting Material Cost per Charge |
|---|---|
| Cantrip | 10 GP |
| 1st Level | 50 GP |
| 2nd Level | 100 GP |
| 3rd Level | 300 GP |
| 4th Level | 1000 GP |
| 5th Level | 2000 GP |
| etc. | etc. |
Finding access to spells above 3rd level is incredibly rare.
